    Hi,
I’m looking for a fairly large upright freezer (5/6 drawer), to store mostly batch cooked meals and fruit/veg/bread so not looking for anything fancy.
Just terrible for leaving door slightly open on freezer in this house so could do with some kind of door alarm.
Noticed John lewis own brand has 3year guarantee and wondered who makes them and if they were any good?

Think price range is probably going to be £300-400

It’s an Electrolux repackaged but if you want something good…

    One word… Liebherr. 😉

Cut price Miele, same quality if you can find a match in the range.

    Hi, thanks for the reply
I’ve been looking at the leibherr freezers GN2356 and G2413 and trying to work out the difference – there’s over £100 difference in price.

One’s smartfrost and the other’s nofrost (which i’m guessing is frost free) but wondering what a cold storage accumulator is?
also the cheaper one has a freezer tray and the more expensive one a drawer for berries and herbs – now this is one feature I could really do with but can’t find anywhere that explains what the berry drawer does

    Hi purplekat

The berry drawer is mentioned on the Liebherr website here There is a contact link towards the bottom of the page if you want to find out more.

Hotpoint IIRC did a similar tray a few years ago where you laid each piece of fruit indivually so as to avoid bruising and the fruit sticking together. Too much like hard work if you ask me :rolls:

    Hi

The Miele is actually cheaper sometimes that the actual manufacturers Leibherr so check the prices first.
