ParticipantBought and fitted a Whirlpool module for the F03 fault, trouble is I don’t know how to configure it.
On the instructions it says to cut the resistors relating to the last numbers after the model number. On the configuration sheet it has the numbers 19 after the model.
On this cooker it is different:
AKZ161/03/IX
858516115122 140642002183
So is the configuration code IX= 10 (roman numerals) or 03?
any ideas whirlpool people?April 18, 2008 at 1:39 pm #249618DentedPorsche

Hiya,
85 number is wrong. Sios and Whirlpool online don’t recognise it.
If it’s 858516115121 then configuration code is listed on Sios as being 5.
If it’s 858516115124 then Whirlpool have kindly left the code out of the information online and it’s not listed on my Sios discs.Brian

Hi boselecta,
according to sios disc there are 2 models 858516115120 & 858516115121, unless there is an updated model which might be on the new sios disc due out soon. You could try phoning Whirlpool Technical on Monday on 02086495093 and speak with Adam Bigden or Mike Rayner.

IIRC on the r/h side of your model number there is a number printed in bold i.e. AKZ161/03/IX 3 where 3 is the number you want.
AS far as I can tell there are 5 different versions of this oven with only 2 being on SIOS and your model number is correct.

thanks johnmac11 but the model is not like that, with the number at the end: here is the photo of the rating plate, do you lot still think 3 is the configuration code ?

Whirlpool only list 3 versions online. 85 ending 15120 15121 and 15124. 2 of these are on SIOS disc. 15122 doesn’t exist either on SIOS or online.
It would appear to be that the Service number is missing. I’ve enlarged the photo but can’t see any Service number.
Afraid you’ll have to contact Whirlpool.Brian

Whirlpool list 5 versions online, 15122 and 15123 only appear as a parts listing on the new WEDOC site.
The correct part number for the power board in your oven is 481221458307, is this the one you fitted?
Usualy when you se a rating plate with no number next to the model number it means that the board cannot be programmed by cutting the resistors ( to confirm look at the board and you will see that there is 2 small rows of holes where the resistors usualy fit ) If this is the case the board should come all set to go. These boards can only be reprogrammed with a SAM module.

Well, I’ve learned something there too. Didn’t know about the new part of the website or the new boards. Thanks for the info John.

If you have access to the SCC site click on the box next to the 12nc box named WEDOC.
There are loads of models in there now that are not on the SCC site, AFAIK the SCC site will be replaced with the new WEEDOC site and all new info will go in there.John

ParticipantRe: F03 whirlpool cooker AKZ161/03/IX
the board i fitted was 481231019121, this one and the original has the bank of resistors on it.
I will call whirlpool tech on monday and see what they say but it looks like im not going to be able to fix this one.
This was a special order part as well so looks like i am going to be stuck with this part and be out of pocket,
thanks for your help anywayApril 18, 2008 at 8:27 pm #249629johnmac11
ParticipantRe: F03 whirlpool cooker AKZ161/03/IX
Just had a brainwave and punched the 12nc into a SAM module and this model is listed so I assume there are no resistors to cut.
Looks like you have been supplied the wrong board 😥
