Forgive me if this is a daft question.

Is the clear glass object inside the drum at the front 12 oclock position a light bulb or is it a sensor of some description???

Also, is it me or is the plastic on the front of the water container a whiter white than the rest of the console panel??

Hasn’t been an issue so far as the two dryers i have sold have been in a commercial environment and therefore the customers not so fussy.( I hope). In a domestic environment I think it may be picked up by the customer.

    Any thoughts please.

    Hi Tim

Yes it’s a lamp holder cover not too sure about the shade of the facia/dispenser draw, have a word with John if it becomes an issue.

    Thanks for fast response!!!!

Lamp holder cover? does that mean there is a lamp in there???

If there is a lamp when should it operate?

(I assumed it should operate when the machine is switched on and the door is open. The one I did today I even allowed an Iron Dry cycle to END but still no light comes on).

    Cheers.

The lamp is fitted to higher spec machines and it is indeed the cover for the lamp. There’s no electrics or bulb holder in there.

Under florescent light there’s s very slight shading difference but I doubt if most people would ever notice it TBH.

Excellent. I will stop tapping at the bulb and secretly sticking my head in the dryers from now on. 😆

I know….I’m a fussy b****r. I blame my apprentice master!!! I can still see him walking around with a micrometer in one hand and the other hand pointing to the scrap bin. (And that was 18 years ago) I think I need therapy. 🙁
