whirlpool washing machine

    hi have a whirpool washing machine AWG349/3-1200 door lock was faulty. Replaced door lock. Now door locks but machine does not start. I think pcb but there are 2 and they are both very expensive. any help would be great.

    Usually if an interlock goes short circuit it will blow copper strips on the board so you can see visible damage on the back of the PCB. Have you checked for this?

    SMEG in a dress – lock joins power board (front one) on J10.

    Yes i have checked both pcb’s no damage to both no bloen tracks.

    I had exactly the same fault on this model and it was the brushes.

    the machine does a self test at the begining of the cycle and tests the motor first hth
