    Hi guys,

Have recently purchased the above larder fridge to convert to a draft beer kegerator. My question is where can I drill through for the gas in (back or sides) and the beer tower on the top? I can see the coolant coils moulded into the inside back of the fridge, can I drill in between them? are there any coils or anything to look out for any where else?

Your help is much appreciated – particularly if anyone has any diagrams of this fridge.

    Cheers

    Hi

There are refrigerant pipes throughout the sides so it going to be a hit or miss if your lucky.

Through the top is the less likely place to hit any of the pipework but its still not advisable.Ifg you do get away with the holes then remember that all the holes need to be fully sealed with silicone to stop the travel of condensation that will cause the insulation to fail.

Is there anyway to identify where the pipes are? Or is it going to be a case of drilling a small hole from the inside and poking about the insulation to make sure I’m not going to hit anything?

Also the coil pattern on the inside back of the fridge does this show where the coils are located on the back? Can I just drill through one of the ‘gaps’ in the pattern?

Sorry, so many questions I just can’t afford to screw this up.

    Cheers

    Sorry Bryan,

I’m not as thick as I seem I just wanted to keep the top free for to much tubing my Missus wants it to look nice in the kitchen. However I think you’re right it’s the safest option and I can locate it behind the beer tower to conceal it a bit.

    Cheers

Can you see the chiller plate in the inside back of the fridge or is it concealed behind the plastic liner?

It seems to be concealed behind the plastic liner, I can see the shape of it moulded into the plastic.
