Interesting fault – Any advice would be most helpful.

Switch machine on. Set program. Press start. Machine starts without problems. Then, after anywhere between 2 minutes and 10 minutes, the machine just cuts out. The panel lights all go out. Sometimes the pump is left running continuously. This is NOT the more common panel failure which releases the door interlock as the door is still firmly locked. In most cases the power has to be isolated at the mains socket in order to reset the panel and allow further attempts to program.

Any ideas? Experience says its the control panel itself but just thought that I’d ask first.

    Many thanks,
    Steve.

Never seen that before, logic says that if all components and wiring check out then it must be the PCB.

Do let us know if you manage to sort it.

Yes, given that the machine starts filling / emptying / spinning (depending on which program is set) and runs for a few minutes kind of suggests that all the major bits are functioning as they should be.

The failure has all the outward signs of a micro circuit type failure (resistor / transformed over heat??). Once it fails on one cycle it quickly fails again on the next. Leave it for 10 mins and it runs for longer again.

A board for that machine is about £95 from HP or £60 +VAT Trade.
