The wife swithched on the d/w last night on the “normal” cycle. After much longer than usual, I realised I couldn’t hear the spray bars turning. I opened the door to find the water level just above the filters, soapbox had opened and the heater element was glowing cherry red! I cancelled the cycle and the water drained out. I tried prog. 1- same level of water entered, never heard the “wooshing” of the spray bars, but the cycle completed with the water draining out and the customary beeps at the end. No error leds are lit, have I got a dodgy pump? Any assistance greatly received!

im no expert but family fotunes says
    90/100 capacitor
    10/100 motor
    1/ 1000 pcb
most likely either the capacitor on the motor that has visual signs thats its gone <( normally this )<<<
    or the motor it self.

using the cocktail glass symbol programme
once the water as gone in and the dispencer has open do u hear a humming noise? if u put ya head to the door if so it will be the capacitor thats is faulty
if u hear nothing most likely that motor will be faulty.

allso if u ran machine for long time with no wash action u may find u have to rest the stat at bottom of machine near motor cause the element over heats if no wash motion ie push the red button p just push it anyway when u change the faulty part

Thanks Karv – looks like its time to get the tools out. I assume motor/capacitor access is from the rear?

machine on its side , black base and few pop lugs that let u remove base with flat blade screw driver MAKE SURE U unplug machine before u do anything 😆

    but
if u take bottom front plate of and shine a torch some times u can see if capacitor has gone by the crap hanging of it where its blown, some times u can,t tell untill u looking at it but as i said if u hear a humming its the capactior
