I thought that it was bad enough that my customers can get spares cheaper from ebay than I get from Electrue.
Now they can watch how to fit them.

A fatal accident waiting to happen.

Why doesn’t he title it “how to commit suicide for stupid people”?

Does anyone have to remove the GEC motor from a Hotpoint to change the brushes? 3 minute job – motor in situ. If someone gets hurt doing this, he could be in serious trouble, especially if the armature is earthing like they often do. :zap:

He has missed out an important point that I know many of us say when on Public Forums and that is UNPLUG the appliance before attempting any repair 😡
Perhaps he should explain to everyone the importance of safety testing the appliance before and after any repair as we have to do with an insulation tester??
YOUTUBE is a great and wonderful thing but offering DiY advice on anything worries me as the liability is endless.
Lets hope no one gets hurt eh? 😕
