The main oven of my cooker has suddenly ‘died’. No fan, no light, no heat & no grill. The small oven and the hob are working fine. The clock/timer has been dodgy for ages but still has power judging by the noises it is making.

What should I be looking at? Is it likely to be something an amateur can deal with?

    Thanks

power or not, the clock dictates whether the oven works

have u checked its not just been knocked on to automatic?

its unusual for them to go dead, u usually get SOMETHING!

Re: Diplomat ADP5520 Range cooker – Main oven

Thanks – the timer was the first thing I checked as we’ve been caught out by that before. However your reply spurred me on to do further checking and after much fiddling and aligning of the timer and clock (the clock doesn’t actually work) everything is fine now 🙂

    Re: Diplomat ADP5520 cooker-Main oven-Replacing hinge runner

Now that I know the oven still works, does anyone know how to replace the hinge runners for the main oven door? I have the new parts but I am unsure on how to approach fitting them.

Do I need to remove the front or is there a different way of getting at them?

Does anyone have any diagrams that may simplify things?

    Thanks in anticipation.
