Yesterday afternoon, my fridge freezer decided to have a hissy fit and stop the freezer getting down to the normal -22.
Opened up the back compartment to find the fan blades had sheared off the motor.
Tried a basic fix with some epoxy resin type stuff, which worked for all of 30 mins 🙁
I have found what appears to be the same fan/motor here which I will buy and fit myself.
The only problem is, how do I get the white plastic part, that the motor mounts into, out?
I can get it to a certain point, then it wont budge any further.
Do I have to take out everything in the bottom compartment to get at it or is there another way.
Thanks
FLH
P.S. Anyone else get stressed out by the poor quality screws Hotpoint use? There is barely enough head on the screw for my socket set to bite one.
