The tumble dryer wasn’t heating up so i replaced the thermostat cut outs and now the tumble dryer heats up. I have run the tumble dryer for about a minute but it smells of burning so i turned it off just in case i do more damage. So is this normal to smell burning after fitting the new thermostat cut outs or do i have another problem that caused the thermostat cut outs to go in the first place.
Is there a way of resetting the thermostat cut outs as i have seen someone on ebay selling info on how to do this. Also i have seen that you can throw them at the wall hard and they will reset.
its usually because the cycling stat is faulty, and if youve changed them as a pair, then your fault should be cured
your burning smell? well, thats possibly just a littlebit of fluff on the element just look at it, and if theres fluff on it, gently hoover it or brusjh it off
would be worth chcking your condenser isnt blocked as well!
