    Hi all,

Firstly let me say I wish I’d known about this site a lot sooner. Some good helpful stuff here.

Well, I have the above model and it’s decided to stop heating the water for some reason.

Unfortunately, the washer was in situ when I moved in so I dont even have an operating manual for it (I have searched the link from the sticky but the IFU manual only explains how to put a plug on and fill up the detergent compartments 😕 ).

If anyone could provide a link to a complete operating manual I’d be grateful, as to tell the truth, I’m not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure what the buttons/leds are all for and what sequences various flashes mean.

Anyway, as far as I can tell the machine goes through its normal cycle but obviously isnt cleaning properly. I’ve taken the white filter out of the bottom (sump area?) and cleaned all the grease and grime off it (One reason I chose radio electronics over plumbing 😀 ), just because it was the first thing I found.

After reading the various other threads I’m a little confused as to what to check next as there’s no error codes for me to relate to – and the machine is in a pretty inaccessible area.

As far as I can gleam there appear to be 3 main areas that could be faulty.
    1. The heater itself
    2. The NTC
    3. The PCB

It looks like the cheapest option would be to check the NTC – can this be done by pouring hot water down the sump to try and kick start it prior to having to remove a large part of the kitchen to get to it. I think access is only via the underneath is it?

If I have too, then I can remove it, but is there any way of checking the other components if I have to get the machine out? And is there a way of checking them without removing the machine, as I have no idea where they’re located.

    Thanks for any help.

PS. The machine only went last night (tried 3 washes after noticing), and the missus has given me till tonight to get it sorted – which is nice 😕

If you are not getting a flashing pattern from the Start lamp (even constant flashing), you’re not getting an error code. This would suggest a logic error in the computer board.

Obviously worth checking resistance on heating circuit components and descending resistance on NTC probe.

    Doesn’t sound good…….

    Well,

I done the “pour hot water” into the outlet in the bottom of the machine (I presume this is where I was meant to pour it), and gave it another bash.

It seemed to increase the temperature of the water from cold to mildly lukewarm for a cycle. Then back to cold again on the next cycle.

I think I’ll have to call out an engineer and have him have a proper look as I cant really afford to be getting it wrong. Also I have no knowledge of removing the washer, let alone the individual parts.

What would be an expected average charge to get an engineer out? And also, what sort of price area would I be looking at to have it fixed depending if its the module or the NTC. Oh, and as I’ve never had an engineer called out before, if it’s not fixed on the first attempt, do I have to pay further callout charges? Say he changes the NTC and it doesnt fix it, will i get the money of the NTC discounted if he has to then replace the module.

    Thanks for any advice

    Billy
