ParticipantHi,
I have a 4 year old Diplomat 8902 Dishwasher and it started causing problems this week. It seems to have broken down before the rinse cycle – water was drained, but it sounds like the dishwasher keeps trying to drain, but fails. I hear the pump kicks in for about half a second every 2 seconds with two beeps every 2 seconds (at the same time the pump kicks in). Each time a bit of water does come out, but that is pretty much where it will get stuck.
Here’s what I’ve done:
Tried to reset the dishwasher (switched on, then press program button 4 times lights 1 and 5 flash for a couple of seconds, then 1 goes solid and 5 flashes). I hear it filling with water – about 10 seconds, then it tries to drain with the 2 beeping and bits of pumping.
Now, I thought perhaps the pump is busted or blocked or something, but if I push up the overflow switch, it happily pumps out all the water, so it looks like the pump is working 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. BTW, there is no leaks and no water that overflowed – the area around the overflow switch is dry.
Any ideas?

Hi Penguin45,
Thanks for that info. Any chance you would know the part number, or where I can find the part number?

Hi Carel,

PCB is p/no 696290673 – spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will get you one promptly.
Have a read of THIS and consider the implications – pcb failures can be a “cause and effect” scenario.
Stay safe, power off if you intend to do this yourself.
