i bought this bosch KGN33V00GB fridge freezer in september 06. it has always been quite noisy, after 13 months it started to frost up on the metal fins in the top of the freezer, and the fridge compartment started to get warm, resulting in a lot of wasted steaks 🙁
so i looked around the back and the tray at the bottom was full with water, i emptied the tray and gave the freezer fins a full defrost. i also took the air flow panel off the inside of fridge compartment and replaced it in the fully open position.recently the cold freezer / warm fridge has returned.
from what ive read in the forums here the cause may be
1) a drain pipe blocked with ice with a fix part available
2) a sticking fan
3) a thermostat problem with a fix available by soldering a short on the pcb (tho not sure if this affects my model)can anyone help me narrow down the problem further and point me to where i can buy the repair parts if applicable.
your fridge freezer is supplied with a 2 year manufacturers guarantee
please ring bosch on the number supplied in your handbook… they will have an answer for your problem, and will be able to repair it

do those guarantees not require sending a form to bosch after purchase, something i never did 😳 , also is the guarantee parts or parts&labour.

oh, and by the way, to cure your IMMEDIATE problem, a good 36hr defrost will cure your problem temporarily
you will also need to defrost it for a full 48 hrs before the bosch engineer comes , so he can get in there to do the repair
whichever way you look at it, without giving too much away, your fridge freezer requires more than one modification to allow it function correctly
