    hi, has anyone had similar problems. I start the program, program counts down. but nothing happens, it doesn’t fill or the drum doesn’t turn, nothing. At the end of the program It says DOOR in the display? And door is now locked. please help. 🙁

    The Indesit machines are not noted for reliabilty or quality sad to say, over recent years the electronics have become very suspect on these machines so it is difficult to be certain with any diagnosis.

    That said, a faulty motor or worn motor brushes can give this fault.

    Be sure to remove the mains plug if you intend to investigate further.

    Indeed it was the brushes. On investigation, the brushes were worn away. Received new brushes today and fitted. Machine is now working. Thanks Jim and Hotpnt for your help. I love this site.
