Hi. We just took delivery of a new Zanussi ZNB343W today. We let it sit for 6 hours to settle before turning on. After 2 hours, freezer is nice and cold but fridge seems to be room temp. Is there something wrong with the fridge?

Also, I cannot see how the fridge is cooled, except for perhaps the back panel to cool it, which seems insufficient in my opinion. I thought maybe the freezer cooled the fridge via a vent, but I can find nothing.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

Re: Problem with New Zanussi Fridge-Freezer

    Hi

Your appliance is a frost free unit which means on this model the freezer will defrost itself.the fridge is a type known as a wet wall fridge which means that the evaperator is behind the plastic liner.this will have small droplets of ice forming on it when it is working and will defrost itself once it has reached temprature.

The temprature setting should be about 3.5,It may take longer for the fridge to cool down as the refrigerant goes through the freezer first.

You should find this morning that the fridge will be down to temprature.if not then yes you do have a problem that will require an engineer vist.
