Hope someone here may be able to help.

Had my faithful IDL500 for 4 Years and NEVER had a problem with it, untill yesterday. Now, every wash cycle I put it on, the water never heats up and the last light pulses frequently, you have to disconnect it from the mains for a minute or so before switching back on. The reset button doesnt reset it when it does this.

    So can anyone help?
is there a thermo trip of any kind that may have tripped

    I’m confused.com.

    Three different models, 500UK, 500UK.2 & 500UK. 2T.

Should all have the heater visible inside the cabinet. This element is normally reliable but can fail. More common cause on this model is control PCB failure.

First thing to do ( sorry second, remove the mains plug is the first 😉 ) is to check the heating element electrically. If it is sound then the PCB is almost certainly at fault.
