    Hotpoint oven 6142P need a fan element, (C00)613676 special order everywhere at £58 odd. Have tried patttern parts from both connect (ELE4493) and qualtex (ele2036 011032) but neither will fit as the mounting bracket is too near the circle of the element. These have obviously been knocked up by the same pattern part supplier and are incorrect. Wondered if anyone knows the Bosch number for either this elelement or the Bosch model of the oven itself.

    Homespare give the dimensions as:

    OL= 190mm IDW= 163mm TC= 24mm PW= 10mm PL= 55mm HSC= 25mm TL= xxmm Wattage – 2400W:

    If you post the dimensions of the old element I could probably suggest one that will fit. I often select an element based on size if the OE one is too expensive or hard to get. The old spiral bound Homespares book is handy for this as there is a section devoted to fan element dimensions.

    Yes, I too always normally manage to make an element fit an odd cooker but the strange non symetrical mounting bracket and the fact that the back panel inside the oven that covers he fan and element is baffled on this model making even a slightly too big one impossible to fit. Connect and Qualtex quote correct dimensions but what turns up bears little resemblence to them. Its good old fashioned dodgy pattern spares IMO. I guess this oven is so rare that no one has complained about it. The connect one I fitted I have had in stock for several years while the Qulatex one I only ordered last week, yet they are obviously from the same source.
