ParticipantHi,
I am aware that lots of people have written topics on this machine, and I have read the sticky about getting into the diagnostics box but when I tried to get the binary reading, none of the LED’s lit up when I was under ‘hold’ and ‘slow spin’.
I am assuming this means my machine is saying nothing is wrong, but every time I use the washing machine it stops a couple of times and plays an ascending line of beeps (usually the hot water button is red and the cold button is green, but we only have the cold pipe attached and have the black cap over the hot fitting)- since then, we have been pressing advance and then it begins again, but I have realised now that it means it skips all the actual washing parts of the cycle, it fills with water, beeps, we advance and it drains and spins..we have already spent about $200 on getting a new motor or something about 6 months ago and I am determined to fix it!
my explanation has been quite vague but basically I am wanting to know how to make the diagnostics work or if there is some other way of discerning the problem..
??
thanks, Lucy

You have basically answered your own question – no hot water. It is possible that the temperature sensor has failed, but that doesn’t seem to be a regular issue on this forum.
I assume that you are using the machine with the wash set to “Cold”?

well, I just spent the last half hour reading through the manual thoroughly, and came across the controlled cold section, so when you choose only cold, the progress light should be on ‘long wash’ but ours defaults about 2 or 3 LEDs across from that. The manual says press ADVANCE until it goes back to the coldest setting, but when I advance to spin (the last LED) it makes a lower sound as if it wont go any further (similar to if you click colder on the actual wash temperature when you are already on the coldest setting) so this makes me think that the issue is that the machine is defaulted on controlled cold, but we havent got a hot tap, only cold, so, do I need to fix the advance button?

Use the Option Adjustment mode:
Press and hold Start, then press Power, wait for beeps.
Use Wash Temp button to select Cold Wash. Use Advance to move the LEDs until the spin light goes out and the Long Wash lights. This is the coldest possible setting.Penguin45.
