    HI all,

I any renovating my kitchen in my flat and am looking to get a new gas stand alone cooker for it, however I am well confused with the new FFD laws.

One person tells me that the cooker has to have FFD or the corgi engineer will not install it and another tells me that as long as the cooker was manufactured before Jan 2008 then it will be ok.

Does anyone know for sure what is the truth ?

    Thanks in advance.

I install gas cookers (Canon,Hotpoint,Indesit ones) and the quick run down is if you live in flats or a house converted to flats and you buy a new cooker it has to be one that has the flame saftey devices fitted to all burners.

If the appliance was manufactured before Jan 2008 which you would know by the serial number then any gas cooker can be installed.
