ParticipantI have a Fisher & Paykel Smart Drive 053 that had problems with the front panel (the push button and LED panel). I replaced the panel with a new one for the Smart Drive GW model as there was not a panel available for the MW model.
This fixed the problem for four washes but now the washing machine does not commence to fill or wash or spin. I tried to enter diagnostic mode using the Power and Water Temp Down buttons and got the following lights displayed:
Water high
Water low
Fast Spin
Hold SpinThe wash progress lights were 10010111.
Could you please tell me what this diagnostic means?
Thanks,

I have tried all the advice in the instructino manual. Was this the Sticky that you were refering to?

ok found sticky on error codes.
When holding down Temp Low button and Power button, I did not get two beeps. Instead after a couple of seconds, the water level High and the water level Low lights lit up.
I then toggled the spin speed to Slow and Hold but there were no lights on the top of the panel.
Any help would be appreciated.

Curious….. Start with the obvious, I suppose – lid and out of balance switches, wiring and connectors. Drain pump out of circuit will stop it starting (plug out – pump is live if the machine is plugged in).
It’s a starting point, at least.

The new display panel that I installed to fix the original problem was faulty. Silly me, I did not expect a new part to have faults :rolls:
After I could not diagnose the problems, I called a technician who identified it. So it only cost me $122 to find out that I had purchased a faulty part.
Oh well, at least the part was replaced under warranty and the machine is now working and with no diagnostic numbers shown.
Thanks very much for your help,
