Ah well….here’s an opener from me at least anyway………. 😉
Fitting Hoover Tumble Dryer Relay PCB’s :-
Some bright Herbert at Candy decided to fix these PCB’s with the screws facing forwards.:rolls: In consequence it requires not only taking the lid off but fuffing about taking half the front panel away just to get at these screws! 👿
The better, easier and quicker solution is as follows:-
Remove lid, remove timer knob, remove plastic fascia/control panel (by sliding to the right), unscrew top frame fixing screws (one each end) to ease panel forward slightly. Now at this point you will spot a small hole in the front metal panel that is in very close proximity to the PCB you’re trying to access. Enlarging that hole with a 10mm drill will then allow you sufficient access to both pozidrive-headed PCB fixing screws. Removing those screws carefully will allow you to then refit the new PCB except this time fitting it on the other side of the frame where you can fit both screws with ease….job done! 😀

My method . Remove the pcb by unscrewing screws from the pointed end with pliers. screws can usually be recovered with fingers or pointed plers. refit pcb with screws reversed.

I’m with helo, snap and fit, leant the hard way after the first few. However I will try Neptunes method next time…
More Tricks of the Trade please.. There’s nearly always a quicker/easier method for most things…..

Before moving an integrated washing machine/dishwasher/fridge etc…..use a pencil to mark it’s position against the kitchen furniture and all it’s fixing bracket positions as well. So that when reinstalling you can put it back exactly where it was before.:wink:
