    Hi Everyone,

I called to this machine today. Lady told me the machine went through the programme, but at the end, the clothes were still covered in suds.
I looked in the filter and took out a £1 coin and some fluff. But not really enough to stop the machine emptying properly. I took the clothes out, and did about 6 rinses by which time the suds had all gone, and the water in the drum was clear.
I told her everything was OK now. She paid me and said she was going to put a load in straight away.
Later she phoned the shop, and I had to go back to her house. I found the load all soapy, but the programme had finished. I filled and emptied the machine about 12 times, but could not get rid of the suds.
The pump works fine, empties machine completely at the correct speed.
I’ve been repairing W/M’s for 39 years, and never failed to get rid of suds before.
She is using Sensitive Ariel Tablets.(2). Our water is very soft. (South Wales)
I don’t know what’s wrong. Never had this happen before. Her Son has chronic Eczema, and uses lots of cream. I’m wondering if this cream is perhaps reacting with the detergent and causing so many suds.
Any advice you could give would be very much appreciated.
    Many thanks,
    Ray.t

Medications do weird things – I had an eczyma case last year, loads of froth and door seal distorted. Pre-soak overnight in bucket with a bio powder, followed with mainwash on reduced detergent (1 tab) solved that particular problem.

Thankyou very much Chris for your prompt reply. I will pass on that information to my customer, and hope it sorts her problem. Strange thing is she’s been doing the same routine and using the same detergent for a few months with no problems. Weird!. Anyway, thanks again.
