    Hi there

I hope that someone is able to help me with my Candy Dishwasher it says it’s a Nova CD122 on the front, and even after downloading the user manual from the Candy site, I am still unable to cure the problem.

The salt unit was refilled yesterday – I check it regularly, to ensure that never gets empty, as I am fully aware of how important it is. (I used to work for Hobart many many years ago) Today when I went to empty the machine and refill, I noticed that the plates in the bottom tray were encrusted with salt and I realised that there was a problem.

Now when we purchased the machine I know that we had to set the salt level of dispensing, and this was done via the program selector dial, but I am unable to find the original manual, and the one from the Candy Site, does not give the same information. It claims there is a screw type fixing that needs to be turned in the salt unit, but there is actually nothing there to turn.

Is anyone able to help me with this, as I am disabled, and really do need to get the machine working as I am unable to do it by hand – my only other option is to use the dogs, and well to be honest, they would leave the plates rather hairy!! 😆

    Many Thanks

I suppose the obvious one is to check the condition of the salt chamber cap – it should have a seal, and be crack free. It should be screwed home securely – a few stray grains on the thread will jam the lid and effectively leave it open to the wash water with spectaular results.

Otherwise, possibly some sort of problem with the salt chamber and its plumbing. Very little tech info on this one, so difficult to be exact.
