My 10 year old m/c has developed a fault. On a normal wash cycle the water fills but the drum does not rotate, despite the timer appearing to operate normally.

Any ideas on what I should investigate – eg new brushes?

Brushes would be the first thing I would look at.
    UNPLUG FIRST.

If brushes are required look no further than here 😉

Many thanks for your prompt replies. I’ll purchase some new brushes and let you know the outcome.

The machine has had a few repairs over the years (including replacement brushes, I think) but has generally been really reliable. Amongst other things, it’s washed my kids’ football & rugby kit for a nearly a decade – so I’d like to keep it going for a few more years!

    Thanks Turbo & gegsy

I ordered new brushes from UK Whitegoods on Wednesday, which arrived on Friday. I fitted them that night and the m/c is now working again

    Thanks to UK Whitegoods forums!!
