leakage test

    hi i had a small shock from a w/m tested earth ok insulation ok but fail on leakage un plugged major components and tested one at a time but no luck finding anything oh its a zan washer dryer thanks

    Earth insulation OK but fail on leakage? What do you mean by that I wonder?

    Also, I have to ask, what model machine is this?

    Is the supply earth connection OK?

    I often find this when I PAT test washing machines, they pass the 500 volt insulation test but fail the substitute leakage (touch current) test. I’m not sure how you stand on this if you issue a pass result. You are not obliged to have done a substitute leakage if you have done the insulation and earth continuity tests……

    YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO SUBSTITUTE LEAKAGE TEST.
