Today I went out to fit a sump hose to a CDA CI392 integrated washing machine.
You would think such a job should be straightforward. On this machine its a tricky little job as there is a plastic grommet to insert on the inside of the sump hose which applies adequate pressure to hold it in place when the machine has a full tub of water. The edge of the tub is razor sharp and the plastic grommet keeps popping up sideways into the tub which means popping out the heater and fishing out every time. Not what you want on a 14 job day 😉 (Not that I had 14 jobs today…. Wish I had…)
Done about 3 of these things (as I am CDA agent).
There will be worst jobs I’m sure..
    Feedback anyone?

    Robert.

Brandt ones are easy – drop the timer off and there’s plenty of room.
Servis ones, put the back band on and don’t fully tighten it, wiggle the seal to line up the dribble tube, lean the machine back and again. lots of room.

    I dunno, complain, complain, complain……. 😀

Hey, this is a trade forum 😉 surely we have the right to complain… But only when the cheque bounces can we complain to the customer!

At the end of the day, if it’s paying, I love it!

Chris, have you ever done the Hoover logic condensor washer dryer door seal before?

Long funnel or short? Being short, I know which one I prefered…….. 😀

I think the old vented one used to be the long funnel. the condensor one had the red insert in it and a short funnel..
Don’t know which I like the most.. The hoovers or the Zanussi Washer Dryer door seal.

The Hoover one you could almost play hoopla with. Zanussi is a patience job….. always take the duct off. The job that always used to wind me up was fitting a pump to Hotpoint 18/95/WM machines – not difficult, just b. awkward.

No, fitting carbon brushes to the old hotpoint washing machines without a removable top (purple door). Those used to wind me up!

Didn’t you do them through the control panel? That’s what the little brush tool was good for 😀 .

Towards the end I did when I worked it out… LOL for years I struggled and removed the plastic back panel.
