    Hi.

The people next door have the above dishwasher and they have asked me to have a look at it because it hasn’t worked since Christmas.

When the right-hand control is moved from the central 0 (zero) position to either of the others (left: Cold Rinse, right: Wash) the ‘In Progress’ LED and the ‘Salt’ LED illuminate and remain so. Pressing the Start button does nothing.

I’ve switched off the machine at the power outlet, waited 10sec, and plugged it back in with the same result.

Inside the machine at the bottom is a well, and this appears to have standing water in it.

That’s really all I can state. Any suggestions as to what the issue is? My own theory, especially with it having the water at the bottom, is that the drain pump has failed, and that’s the error the LEDs are showing.

Any comments from more knowledgeable people would be appreciated.

    Cheers
    Rob.

No error coding on this one. I’d check the door switch first, then the wiring through the door for breakages.

    Power off first, mind.

    Hi.

Door switch okay, and all the wiring appears okay too. Ditto the controls. Still no joy.

Anyway they’ve decided now that as the machine is quite old they’re going to splash out on a new one.

Thanks for your input Penguin45 which was much appreciated.

    Rob.
