a few weeks ago i cleaned out the motor and put the brushes back in, that got the machine going again.

its has just stopped again but what i want to know is, can i swap the brushes on the motor to the opposite sides?

as one has a number 2 on, and the other a 6

this is just so i can get a few more weeks out of it before i buy new ones.

im no engineer so be gentle with me, just some one trying to save some money

Replace ASAP before the motor is killed completely. Unplug Power if you are going in.

    Simons advice is spot on.

These are what you need if it is a GDA motor with slot in brushes.

At the very least you may blow the internal motor overload or even the main control unit if you continue to run the machine with worn brushes.

Those brushes would then look very cheap compared with the £100+ of a motor or timer.

    Jim.
