Strange question.
Is there any way I can increase the amount of water taken in during the rince?
Its on my old Creda W12OFW that is now used for cleaning Fish pond filters, I have tried the “deep rince” button but it dosnt seam to make that much diferance and the filter inserts are not coming out as clean as they did when I used the very old Bendix compact.

If it’s electronic, no.
If it’s analogue it’s ill advised.
Some machines have an option to give an extra rinse or higher rinse level.

It is electronically controlled. The timer is a hybrid unit – the timer section is little more than a selector/indicator unit – the computer section is doing all the work.
Now, pay attentiom, 007.
If you select deep rinse, the computer times how long it takes to reach the water level switch actuation. With a bulky load of washing, once it starts to tumble, the laundry absorbs the water and the free water level drops, normally causing the water level switch to drop out – the time taken is also timed – the computer then calculates based on the two readings how big the load is and adds water accordingly. I would suggest that the filters in question (mesh?) do not absorb water, therefore after the fill on rinse does not cause the water level to fall, hence minimal top-up.
So – your problem lies elsewhere. I’d start out with a boil wash using a quality whites bio powder and get the machine itself clean, and see what happens.

Ok thanks for the info. the machine has been though several boil washes to clean it out of any powder hiding in the cracks and crevaces so I dont want to add any more because its quite toxic to fish. The filters are difering grades of foam and do hold quite a bit of water. I might just cheet and add extra water via the draw with a hose conected to the tap.
