    hi,

never seen this machine before and i’m a little bit unsure of what the problem could be.

    R4381X1GB?01 FD8210

customer selects program and presses start, the time to dry appears on the display but nothing happens.
the door seems to be shutting fine, the carbon brushes on the top of the drum seem fine.
    no obvious wiring loom problems.
are there any common problems on this machine i should be aware of?
    thanks,
    john

Does anything show in the display window other than the time? Some of these machines have a child lock facility and that may be something to consider here? Broken door latch probes are another caution? Condenser access panel not shut properly another? 😉

Door switch assemblys do give problems on these as it is a unit with microswitches inside it and they play up.
What happens is as you describe and the timer will count down but nothing else happens, Easy fix if you have some spare microswitches.
    Definetly worth checking…..

Had one yesterday with the same fault and turned out to be door switch.
A quick spray with some lube and all worked fine.
That was after 40 mins of stripping the rest of the machine down.
Go for door first time next time.
