ParticipantSeems the 10yr warranty is back on for this model, was on 5yr now upto 10yr. As I could not fit a w4000 model under my worktop without it sticking out 6″ or so decided after lots of reading on here that the W3922 was for me but wanted 10yr warranty not 5yr as it is now back on I have placed my order and am eagerly waiting it’s delivery.
My old washer Bosch WFT2800 has been ok but despite a recent parts spend spree consisting of new water pump, motor, dryer heater, door switch it has me beat it constantly freezes during its cycle. I think it needs a new brain at £200 and I have decided to replace rather than continue purchasing more parts.
Thanx for the excellent forum been of great help in selecting my new machine 10yrs trouble free whooopy! 😀 😀

Did you take a look at the ISE10? And just out of interest if you did see it, what put you off that as opposed to the miele? Same spec washer and you could have saved a few quid and if motor goes in 11 years it won’t cost you £450 for a new part. 😕

No I did not, just had a read and looks a fine machine as you say. My purchase is made and I am still happy with my choice. Meile will definitely still be around in 9 3/4yrs if I need them, do not know enough about this company as yet. Very interesting stuff though thanx for the info.
As for the price difference I paid less for the Meile than the ISE10 used a discount code em4646 edsave with empire direct got machine for £788 delivered.

Good choice with the Miele, hope it serves you proud, they certainly are the best machines going, being of semi-professional quality, something the ISE doesnt have.

Err, totally incorrect Adam which tells me how much research you’ve done… NONE!
The ISE10 is the ONLY washing machine or dryer in the UK that carries a 10 year insurance backed warranty for domestic use or a 3 year semi-commercial warranty. Miele, if you are very lucky, will offer a 1 year warranty in commercial premises but, in most cases, there is no warranty whatsoever if the machine is on business premises of any sort.
Miele warranties are underwritten by Miele and have a truckload of exclusions. ISE does not.
ISE is backed by an AXA warranty which just happens to be one of the largest insurers in the world and Miele has… well, Miele and that’s it.
Please go and read the terms and conditions of the warranty before you tell people things incorrectly.

I didnt mean that, I meant that Miele machines are actually built by a manufacturer who makes professional machines.
And they make their own drive and electronic systems themselves.June 5, 2008 at 10:15 pm #253678kwatt
KeymasterWeak Adam, very weak.
Asko make the ISE10. They build professional machines as well, quite competently sold under many major commercial brands used by commercial companies in commercial applications.
Miele also do not make everything themselves, it is a fallacy to think that now. It is also a fallacy to think that everything is made in Germany, it isn’t.
Please, if you want to have a dig on product knowledge at least have the courtesy to research what you are talking about and speak from fact based research, not company propaganda.

Last time I checked about 4 months ago the offer was 6 months parts and labour on commercial premises.

I forgot to add Adam, just to add insult to injury…
The Asko built machine uses the same configuration for commercial application as the domestic one does. Miele machines don’t.
The Miele domestic version, especially the newer and cheaper ones, use a watered down version which is not of the same quality from what I understand. Commercial use grade machines start at about £1200 plus VAT for the Miele Little Giant which has, at best, a 12 month warranty.
The sub £900 Miele’s especially, although I’ve no experience of them myself, I am reliably informed are not of the same quality by a country mile. Many of the trade guys have commented that they are and, I quote, “not what they once were”.
I have however seen the “commercial” machines wrecked after a year’s use in a pub.

Many Thanks for the kind words about my purchase Adam. Coming back and reading this thread I am now wondering if I have made the right choice.
my machine is for household use, obviously I am not aware of the small print in miele contract as I have not received it yet. Many people have expressed good experiences and long usage from meile. The ISE seems a good machine and seems to have very strong followers, perhaps I should have looked a little bit more…?
I will endeavor to read with interest more on ISE and perhaps next time…

Hi
Please note Mark that Adam is NOT a trade member and does not have the wealth of decades of knowledge, information or experience as the trade guys on here. 😉FYI
