    Called to this machine with fault code 4..removed motor and checked brushes (fitted 2 yrs ago) ok. refitted motor starts turning slowly to the left then right slowly then fault code 5 flashes…any advice please. John.

    It’s associated with a high resistance reading within the motor I believe? Could be the armature is stuffed or too much carbon dust build up? Were your megger readings OK I wonder?

    Thanks for your advice martin, I believe the motor is stuffed after what you told me as I have otherwise tested.
