    Hi Gents
    hopefully some one can help?
I have an American style fridge freezer admiral GC2224GEKW less than two year old?
Basically it has lost all cooling capability in both the fridge and the freezer.

when checking the power supply to the compressor there is none.

If you leave the fridge door open the compressor kicks in and all is ok, the condenser starts to freeze, as soon as you shut the fridge door it shuts down again?

my thinking is either the temp sensors in either the fridge or freezer or the defrost terminator?

Does anyone have the resistance reading for these?

Or any other suggestions on what the cause may be
    Regards

It is a fault in the control board.

    Part Number is: W10165748. £56.00.

I have the same problem with the same model. I purchased my f/f in August 2006 so it’s just outside of the manufacturers warranty but having been caught out with my previous one I bought a JL extended warranty, here’s hoping that it will be covered.

Just in case anyone else has the same problem, I just wanted to confirm that it was the control panel. It was covered under the extended warranty which has paid for itself as the repair cost was £192. (The part was £82 plus vat).
