Beko ASD Series V0 Fridge Freezer Codes

These fault codes relate to many error or fault codes that are displayed on the Cosmos series of Beko side by side American style fridge freezer models that will normally have a model number starting with ASD. However, these codes and test procedures may not apply to all Beko American fridge freezers in this range.

The error code is displayed as a digital code, exactly as you will see below with little variation on most models.

Since the fault codes for these Beko fridge freezers for the general public’s use they may not offer a lot of help in many cases. For the service engineer they give a steer in the right direction but, that’s about it really. Beyond the general meanings it is down to investigation and proper fault diagnosis.

Before you start any investigation of the fault or even remove the any part of the fridge freezer please read and fully understand this article in full and pay particular attention to the safety and information notices at the bottom of this page as they contain extremely important information!

  Service Test Version 0

Following steps are used respectively to get the fridge freezer into the service mode.

Step 1: Service mode may be activated by pressing Select and Set buttons concurrently for 3 seconds within 30 seconds after the refrigerator is energised.

Buzzer will be sound for a short time then “0” will flash on the display briefly and the warning icon will turn on solid.

When Select button is pressed for four times, “0000” is entered, and service test is entered.

 

All segments should now flash with about a one second frequency.

Step 2: Pressing any button ends Step 1 and the software version and revision information can be read alternately on the display.

Step 3: When any button is pressed, a sensor is shown.

Alternately, first the sensor abbreviation and then the sensor value is shown on the display.

rH	Freezer Air Sensor	Cabin 1
rE	Freezer Evaporator Sensor	Cabin 1
FH	FF Air	Cabin 0
FE	FF Evaporator NTC	Cabin 0

By pressing the Select button, sensors in the forward direction can be displayed and by pressing the Set button, sensors in the backward direction can be displayed. Product is composed of 2 cabins as FF and Freezer. Sensors are shared to these cabins.

If Select and Set button is pressed on for 3secs, Fans, Illuminations and Blue Ray driving step is started.

• Condenser Fan :: DC

When the Select button is pressed, selected components will run. It will stop when pressed again.

Step 5: If Select and Set button is pressed on for 3secs, component driving step is started.

• Ionizer :: Io
• Blue Light :: bA
• Freshfood Illumination :: FL
• Freezer Fan :: rF
• Freezer Eva Heater :: rE

When the Select button is pressed, selected component will run. It will stop when pressed again. When any component is started, warning icon turns on, when stopped, warning icon turns off.

Service test is terminated automatically after 30 minutes.

After power is restored, it exits service test.

  Beko American Fridge Freezer Fault Codes

Error codes is displayed at freezer display and while there is a warning icon that will be lit on the display.

These fault codes are written for appliance repairers and not for the general public by Beko and they assume a certain level of competence on the part of the user in diagnostic routines. We have added some notes to try to assist you in determining the nature of the fault you have but, you will still need to investigate each failure on its own merits. E0	Freezer air thermistor or sensor error Displayed if measured sensor value is open circuit or short circuit Resets if the sensor value is correct (not open or short) error is omitted Check wiring Replace sensor Check control module

E9	Ice machine failure If switch does not change as described during initialisation or, while rotating ice machine, if switch position does not change in 1 minute. The icemaker should not operate. Check wiring Check icemaker unit

 

E13	Freezer fan speed error or failure Check wiring Check freezer fan for blockage or failure

 

E15	Condenser fan speed error or failure Check wiring Check condenser fan for blockage or failure

 

WARN	Warning icon appears in display indicates high temperature alarm Various reasons can cause this to occur

Cooling failure for electrical resons This code, if you get it, means you need to run the service test to try to determine the nature of the problem and it is listed below also as being a freezing error as it applies to both the fridge and freezer sections individually. –	Freezer error due to electrical issues As above however if the fridge side is still operational as normal then run the service test and check that the fridge heater is operational with a meter, i.e. not open circuit.

Please check that any Beko spares recommended are suitable for use on your particular model and serial number. If you are unsure about the suitability of any spare part please ask to ensure that you get the correct spares for your fridge freezer. Please, don’t guess or assume as spares can be altered on a production run with the same model number having several different alternative components used.
