Hi guys,
Please give me some ideas…
This washing machine has suddenly stopped working. What happens is that the drum spins, and then it seems like power is cut. It slows down and stops. Then a few minutes later the same happens.
After doing some research (went back 16 pages!) I thought it might have been the motor brushes, so I changed them. I forgot to clean the motor though (which im going to do tonight) with the block I bought as well.
Anyway, the new brushes had no effect whatsoever. Ive tried the pump (clean), the blades can move freely.
So now I dont know what else it could be.
After playing with it a little more, it seems that when the drum does turn it only ever turns in one direction – and it seems that it tries to speed up very fast and then cuts out. Its as though the speed control has gone and the computer is cutting off power (or thereabouts).
What do you think? im beginning to think its less the motor as the drums just goes in one direction…
