Hi. I have had my hotpoint wm52 quite a number of years now but it has served me well. It has recently been leaking water and at first I thought it was from the door seal but it isn’t. I have pulled the machine out and there is no water at the back of it so I then tipped it slightly and noticed a couple of small holes underneath the machine at the front and it seems that water is leaking from there. Any ideas?

It could be damage to the drum front panel caused by coins etc being left in pockets and hitting the drum.

Is the inner drum dented along the right hand side of the three drum lifters from front to back?

It is possible to repair these holes if the drum front panel is not badly cracked. you would also need to remove any coins and if they are the cause of the problem take far better care when loading the machine in future. 😉

    Jim.

These machines are prone to wearing holes in the door seal.
