Hi there, have a problem with my diplomat ADP3300 single oven, i turned the selector switch to the light position and it “blew” what sounded like a fuse. Now nothing works at all, not even the clock is coming on. I have traced the wiring back to the conslole and the fuse is intact and power is getting to the socket but the cooker is dead.

    any ideas.?

I just moved into the house last month and the previous owners had put the kitchen in 14 months ago so its now out of warranty 😥 .

    any help much appreciated

There’s been a few on the forum recently where the bulb blowing has done all sorts of damage by short circuiting the bulb holder.

Power off if taking a look.

thanks for the reply. took the casing off and had a look at the bulb holder and wiring and it does seem to have had some damage. one of plastic covers on the spade connector for the purple wire has gone a brown colour as apposed to the rest which are white/clear.

will replacing the bulb holder do it any good, or do you think it caused more significant damage in the fact that absloutley nothing works now.

Can’t give you a straight answer to that….. Looking at the parts listing, it appears to have a 205c cut-out – whether this just shuts off the oven or the whole machine, I don’t know.

Ideally, you need a test meter and start tracing the circuits round. Stay safe, power off.
