    hi all

first of all let me say what an excellent forum this is.. it has been a great help in the past. I have an old f&P Kelvinator gw709 washing machine which has gone through 3 controller boards so far, all with different faults. The lastest being a fault with the power circuit.. both fuses had disintergrated and the circuit board track had also self distructed under main power input terminals. I can get controller boards from a 5kg model.. my question is .. Are the various controller boards compatible with my machine?? the last boards i brought were gray in colour (if that helps) .. Any help would be fantastic

    Thanks
    George

    Re: controller board compatability

There is only one motor control module for all sizes of machines, but you cannot mix colours.

The module has the agitator profiles required for all versions and that is why you must “size” the module after fitting.

Up to and including your machine (“phase 5”) colours used were 1/white,2/blue,3/green,4/yellow,5/grey.

modules used for phases 6&7 have been brown in colour.

    thanks reeferman,

My friend has a mw059nz which has a good board in it, the only difference i can see in the service manual is that the gw709 has built in thermistor ,and the mw model does not.. But his board is brown, so i guess its not compatible.
