First job today, drive belt on 11 year old Hotpoint T/D.

A joy to work on and repair unlike these stretch belt types, yes you get more work from these but customer dissatisfaction must be high resulting in lost future sales.

Three cheers for the jockey pulley wheel system.

I changed a belt on a Creda Compact 4 the other week. The machine was at least 25 years old and it was it’s first repair.

Why? You’re going to charge them for your time, aren’t you? Customer chose the machine, not you, so not your problem if they bought something “difficult”.

There is a lot more job satisfaction though when working on something properly made that you feel is worth repairing.

Actually it’s been well over a year since I last did an AEG CD belt. So I’m going to have to ‘learn’ how to do it again.

Anyone know off the top of thier heads?
