Hi alf and r600a, re my icing up problem (Monday 9th june)

You were both right, we have found the blockage, the rubber cap had perished and the drain was full of ice, we are about to clear this now, but can’t re-use the cap which sits over the drain, would it be ok without it or will it need replacing, if so where do I get one from.

    Thanks guys.

PS. it’s now Wed 18th June, the fridge freezer is working great, no more icing up, no more leaking on my floor.

There was a slight hiccup with the fridge after restarting, it would not chill down and my milk went off, but this was remedied by turning the control knob to max for 24 hrs, was this the correct thing to do.

What temp should the fridge be at, mines between 4-6

Thankyou, thankyou for all your help
