    Hi all,

I have a Hoover frdige-freezer (HCA 390 FFK) with a faulty circuit board (it keeps the compressor turned off; when the freezer is turned on, the compressor turns on, but then there’s a click in the control panel of the freezer, and it turns off).

My local handy man says he can’t help. Hoover will deliver a new circuit board for £42. They will send someone to fix it for an additional £100.

The 1st question I have is: is it possible/easy to fit the circuit baord myself? I don’t have a service manual for the thing, so I’d need some guidance in taking it apart.

The 2nd question is: should I just give up on this fridge-freezer and buy a new one? It’s about 6 years old….

    Cheers,

its as easy as unscrewing the fascia at the top of the machine, and fitting it… as long as your sure thats your problem?
