ParticipantI refer to the infamous 1860H9EL belt – p/no 1701658.
I wonder if any of our wholesalers who read on the site might like to ponder the possibility of producing a pattern belt at, say, 1880 or 1885mm? Obviously The Indesit Company are blind to any comments we poor struggling field service engineers make, so perhaps our suppliers might like to take the opportunity of making our lives a little easier?

I’ve got the 1890H9MAEL belts – typically haven’t had an opportunity to fit yet…….. will advise.

An update – bought three of the Gen Hoover belts. Typically, there was an immediate cessation of belt failures……. Anyway, I have now fitted them and can report:
1/ It goes round the drum with slight clearance, so no more fighting it onto there, then.
2/ The lever tool is still useful to actually fit it onto the motor pulley.
3/ One machine was a condenser and I could just work the belt on with my thumbs only.
4/ The belt drives the drum perfectly well.
5/ Two of the three customers immediately commented that their machine was significantly quieter. I assume that the casing is not being distorted so badly. My thanks to Andy from Masterpart for the initial spot – he’ll be pleased to note that I’ve just bought some more.
Part numbers 06012725 Gen, HV19101 pattern.
