Help!
Our washing machine is only 18months old and has had minimal use.
I used it yesterday to wash about 4 loads. On the last load, it stopped mid-way through the final spin cycle and was flashing an F-11 error code.
I managed to empty the machine manually and check the front filter for any blockages. However, the drain pump does not appear to be activating. At one point it also displayed an F-5 error code?
Does anyone out there have any suggestions?
I am hoping that it is going to be something simple like a blocked pipe or a connector that has come loose during the spinning vibrations?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

F 11 & F 5 are related. It does sound as though you may have something jammed inside the pump, a small piece of bra wire or other similar object is quite common.
If you have removed the filter it should just be possible to see the pump impellor. This should be slightly stiff to turn then flick round through 90°. If it is stuck the the pump assembly may need to be removed from the machine to clear, all with the mains plug out of course. 😉

Really good news!
I managed to fix it! And all with my own fair hands!
It turned out to be something so simple in the end…
I checked the pump impeller at the front as suggested and this was turning freely. So the pump was not jamned.
I then checked the drain hose to see if that was blocked. We do have a dog after all, and it was her dirty towels that I had just washed! So the thought of a big tangle of hairs crossed my mind. No visible blockages were found, so I then tried blowing down the pipe to test if it was blocked. No problems there either!
So then I was convinced that it must be a loose connection or a faulty pump, so decided to be brave and have a look myself.
After double checking that the machine was unplugged, I undid the six screws that hold the rear inspection cover in place. Once the cover was removed, I had a clear view of the pump and two red wires leading to it. I reached inside to see if they were loose, and …
“HEY PRESTO!”
As I gently pushed, the connector slid and simply clicked back into position.
My washing machine is now back up and running!
😆
I wonder how much money I have just saved myself?

Nice one. 😀 Thanks for letting us know the outcome.
The Indesit Company call out charge is just under £90.00, you deserve to treat yourself tonight. 😉

£90 !!! ???
Crikes!
It was well worth the back ache and bruised knees after all then!
And I got to clean the floor thoroughly at the same time!
