ParticipantI have a problem with the machine not taking conditioner. both solenoid valves seem to open ok and admit water to the disp drawer.
But water does not seem to enter above conditioner section except at the very back. I have tried to clean out the holes but still no sucess.
however i read that conditioner is ‘sucked’ in and wondered how this works.
I had thought of taking the complete dispenser unit out, but this seemed quite tricky?
Any ideas
Thanks

Participantwell, actually it syphons
much the same as syphoning petrol out of a tank really… take off the cover for the conditioner and make sure all the holes, and inside the cover are cleanto test its working.. fill it with conditioner.. then take a kettle, and fill the compartment to the top, it should start to run away. ifit does, that is not your problem
the usual culprit to be honest, is the hole in the top of the dispenser is usually clogged up with hard conditioner deposits
take out the drawer and look upwards, youll see the hole if you look , and i always poke something in, i use a pop rivet, others use a skewer, or something like
hope this helps

Thanks for prompt reply.
I have tried to unblock all the holes but still no water coming out. Conditioner does flow away if you pour in water though, but I guess this is just because its overflowing.any other things I can try
On a seperate note.
What i cant figure out is – 2 solinoids – but 3 compartments, how come pre wash powder, powder & conditioner go in seperately??

R/h hose feeds l/h compartment, l/h hose feeds r/h compartment. Both valves on together, the water should deflect up the middle.
Tyraps are good for poking out rooves with.

Thanks – simple but clever!
I will try poking the holes again tomorrow.
if I have no joy – is removing the dispenser an easy job- and can it be dismantled for cleaning. Or easier to replace.

The top is removable and is listed as a spare if it comes to it. You will surpised at just how awkward it is to get the box out – tha last one I did, I think I finished up removing the rear half of the casing and dragging the whole lot out backwards.
