I work in a workshop testing and fixing Washing Machines that people have thrown away or donated. We re-cycle and sell them on to low income families and the general public.
I have been trying to fix a Hotpoint WF250 that we sold, but developed a fault after two weeks. The machine starts up but after filling, light 4 (Time Saver) starts flashing and the machine goes on to pumping out. I have tried everything to repair it. I have tried 3 different motors, two timer control cards, three PCBs, three pressure switches, two door switches, replaced water inlets, replaced pump, tried a different capacitor, and even changed the pressure chamber linked to the pressure switch and tube. Still I get the same flashing light.
I have noticed that the machine either takes water in 3 times or , on spin setting, tries to pump out 3 times, before the fault behaviour starts. The obvious thing would be the motor, but i have tried 3, all of which I know are good. Would appreciate any help as i am now desperate.
By the way, the customer got his money back.
Cheers
