There is a plastic drum in this machine and I need to replace the bearings so I have to get a complete back plate, the part number on connect is 5031685269357 but when I view this part it says {CAN NOT BE FITTED UNLESS OUTER TUB IS REPLACED}, the back plate looks the same as the original, can any one tell me if the tub has also to be replaced.

    Thanks Mark.

Partfinder shows two different backplates, one with holes for stats and one without. It makes no mention of needing new outer drum for either. 😕

New back plate will NOT fit old tub. It probably won’t fit a new tub either as the mould quality is so poor.

I’m sure there was a bearing kit available (pattern), but damned if I can find it 😥 .

i dont have partfinder at the moment but think bearings are C00090555?, dont even try to fit a new back half, i had one ordered for me before & there is no way they will fit, old front half will have warped out of shape with age

if you fit new backplate to old drum it WILL leak, due to wear on tub (all that white powder you find when splitting them, thats why you have to either pull bearing out and fit new bearings or fit new tank and backplate together

Thanks for all the replies, it turns out i have a set bearings {C00090555} that i got for another indesit job, only to find it was a sealed drum so i will now be able to use them.

    Thanks Mark.
