ParticipantHello folks from near Hungerford, Berks –
Have searched here and not found a solution to our problem:
AEG oko Lavamat 84749 Update, bought s/h last week. Had one year light domestic use before we bought it.
Gets to rinse part of cycle and (sometimes) stops with C1 error code showing and both pre-rinse and start/pause lights flashing continuously (ie: no pattern). On pressing start/pause button, machine resumes and completes cycle.
Seems as if the fault sometimes occurs when water flow is momentarily reduced (by flushing of loo, for example) coinciding with rinse. I have checked hose/inlet filters are clean and proved water supply (a 20ft head from cold water tank in loft). The mains pressure reducer in the inlet is removed.
And now…wife has just called me to kitchen to hear machine with 14 mins of cycle to go making a buzzing/vibrating noise during final rinse. Sounds like a solenoid?
Any suggestions gratefully received.
Thanks
KevinF.

No fill detected in time allowed. As it fills on certain portions of the wash, it would suggest that part of the three way inlet valve is at fault.
Replacement is p/no 4071360-19/4, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will be able to provide one for you promptly.
Stay safe, power off if you intend to repair this yourself.

Crikey! Much appreciate the incredibly rapid reponse.
Is this valve located at the top/rear of the machine behind the inlet and would it be a reasonably easy and simple DIY job to replace? (I did the pump twice on our last Phillips machine so am not too frightened by simple work).
TIA.

Pretty straightforward to do, bit of wrestling with the soap box is the tricky part. All pretty obvious once the lid is removed.

Penguin45 –
3-way valve arrived an hour ago and is now fitted. Machine on a wash cycle and my fingers crossed that it doesn’t hang at the rinse stage anymore!
Many thanks for the advice and swift service.
