    Hello

I’m brand new on this site, and hope you will help.

I’m I’m in this situation that the belt on my Washing Machine has well not snapped but it fell of the other day and the sides of it is clearly over the hill, I the ordered a new belt on here, and got it yesterday, the part number is not the same, but I have been told by customer support that it is the same belt but its a stretch belt. The old belt was a 1613202002, but the new is 1613202001. I tried to fit it but I simply can’t do it, I tried to put it on the motet first and the on the big wheel. and visa versa, but its all the same, is there some one who can guide me to a way to do it?

    Thank you in advance

    Carsten

I’m currently using the old belt, where I cut the sides off, but the belt is only half as wide as before can I keep using this or is that a bad idea?

if pictures or anything is required please let me know

Its one of these jobs where you need three hands but try this. First switch the power off and unplug. With the top off get someone to pull the tub assembly forwards – then get the belt around the motor pulley and feed it up the side of the large drum pulley. You will get to a point where it feels as though you cant go any further but with one hand hold the belt on and with the other turn the large drum pulley taking the belt with it. Eventually, and bit by bit it will go all the way around. When you get it on check that the belt is in the motor pulley grooves correctly and after a hand spin, the belt should centralise on the drum pulley.

i cable tie the belt to the pulley, then rotate the pulley until theres enough slack to slide the belt over the motor shaft, then turn the drum by hand (usually theough the door portal) and the bag tie will snap itself as the belt goes on

still not easy , but i find it the easiest

The classic and actually the ‘official’ Hotpoint method as per the manual.

And take your wristwatch off before delving in the back, I’ve destroyed a couple of watches like that 😆 (UKW software strikes again 😕 )
