ParticipantI have a problem with a servis m6002w washer, reading the posts a common problem with servis washing machines.
No spin at end of cycle, the clothes inside soaking wet and water left in drum.
As it`s still under guarantee I called the engineer out who said it was a load balancing problem and the washer was working perfectly.
A few weeks later the same problem, sometimes it would work perfectly others no spin cycle. Then last week it failed to rinse the clothes, since then I have kept a check on the washer and have noticed some strange things.
The program is set at 40 degrees cotton all the time.
Wash for 40 mins rinse 4 times taking the fabric softener and spin.
The washing cycle can take 20mins one day 1hour the next.
It will wash the clothes for 1 hour spin and finish.
Wash for 40 mins rinse 10 times and stop.
It seems no two washes are the same.
Also the start button flashes intermittently throughout.
I called the engineer out again yesterday, and he said the machine is working Ok now (after looking at it for 10 mins) and as for the other faults he said he had never known a machine do that before.
So what I would like to know is :-
Is the engineer lying to me, and what is wrong with the washer.
Anyone any ideas
Thank you.July 1, 2008 at 7:22 am #256354suedehead1

hi,
the machine has a faulty pcb the machine could have 2 different types depending on the age of the machine, the pcb has a number on it which indicates which one it is.
if it is a farly new machine with a 546089200 pcb the servis engineer could put a hand held janus tester on it which would tell him its faulty.
if it doesnt have that pcb he can only take your word for the fault and should probably change the pcb.
plug out if you take a loohk yourself.
i would not say however that the engineer is lying but it is very difficult if he tries the machine and it works ok.July 1, 2008 at 7:25 am #256355Washman

Hi
Have you checked the filter , if water still in drum it could be that all the water is not being pumped out.
If water is still in drum when machine gets to spin it will miss the spin out .
Also at end of program you should always turn dial to stop or reset, to make sure that control module resets.Mike

.Personally, if it`s under warranty I wouldn`t go opening it up you could invalidate any guarantee you have.
Just call the engineer back, by this time he`ll probably stick a new pcb in just in case. Intermittent wierd faults like the one you`re describing are very hard to diagnose sometimes.
